The decision to relieve the lecturers of their duties was reached during the council’s 97th regular meeting on Friday.
Their sack was affirmed after a disciplinary committee set up to investigate the allegations against them recommended their dismissal having found them guilty of the offence.
The sacked lecturers were also found guilty of being involved in monetary extortion of students for marks and leaking of examination questions.
