Simi Ogunleye appears to have a lot under her sleeves as the singer released a studio visuals for her new single, ‘Small Ting’, a month after her latest album.
The singer took to her Twitter page to announce that she produced the music beat as a project for her ongoing music production class.
“First of all, I’m impulsive af. So, I’ve been taking production classes. One of my goals this year. So yea…thank God,” Simi wrote.
“This is the actual first beat I’ve made. It was a project for class. I wanted it to mean something, and so I wrote/recorded a song on it. So this song was Produced, Written, Mixed and Mastered by Simi, Omo Charlie.”

The visuals featured the playful singer churning out beautifully written lyrics in what looks like a home studio.
In ‘Small Ting’, the ‘Joromi’ crooner emphasised on trivial yet popular issues and how they metamorphose into major controversial topics.
The video showcased synchronised lyrics as the singer playfully sang in harmony with the soft-tempo rhythmic beat.
Simi, who recently exited X3Music after dropping the album ‘Omo Charlie Champagne’, is obviously trying her hands on music production.
Enjoy ‘Small Ting’;
Simi’s 13-track album was launched on her birthday and dedicated to Charles Oladele Ogunleye, her late father.
The Lagos-based singer collaborated with a couple of artists on the album. She featured Patoranking for ‘Jericho’, Maleek Berry for ‘Immortal’, and Adekunle Gold, her husband, for ‘By You’.
