Shallipopi, the Nigerian singer, has released a new single titled ‘Free Service’.
The surprise release was announced via his social media on Friday.
‘Free Service’ follows the release of ‘Shakes Popi’, his sophomore project from earlier this year.
In the song, Shallipopi sings, “Daybreak, everywhere burst, everywhere stew, money dey rush, vacation for me and all my blood, as I dey, credit alert dey drop, you can’t love me, it’s not by force if not money talks, I’m not involved, na how they go pay me, I dey find I nor dey find free service.
“Free service or high service Benin boy, I can show you magic, ladies dem, they call me daddy, I’m like it when shaking that thing, free service or high service Benin boy, I can show you magic, ladies they call me daddy, I’m like it when shaking that thing.”
Born Crown Uzama, Shallipopi rose to fame after releasing his first single titled ‘Elon Musk’ in March 2023.
His songs have continued to garner a positive reception. He has also released other hit songs including ‘Obapluto’, ‘Cast’, ‘Ex-Convict’, and ‘Oscroh’.
‘Presido La Pluto‘, his debut studio album, was released in November 2023.
In October 2023, Shallipopi launched Plutomania Records, his record label. He also signed Tega Boi and Zerrydl.
Earlier in the year, the 24-year-old revealed that ‘Shaolin Popey‘, a 1994 Chinese movie, inspired his stage name.
