Emmanuel Andrew, the fast-rising Nigerian singer better known as Mulla Rae, has come through with ‘Your Matter’, his latest single.
The less than three-minute project released on Thursday featured Teni Apata, the Nigerian songstress.
In the project, Mulla Rae croons about his undying love for his woman and his resolve to brace the odds for her sake.
The soulful song also sees Teni adding colour to the lyrics with her sonorous voice.
In a statement sent to TheCable Lifestyle, Mulla Rae said collaborating with Teni on the project was a dream come true.
“I had been yearning to work with her for a while now, so when this song came, I knew she would be the best person to collaborate with,” he said.
“I have always loved Teni as an artist. I admire her voice, the way she sings, the vibes she gives while on stage and the way she carries herself as a female superstar.
“The session with her was a very good one. Teni is a great artist to work with. And if you would like to know, I look forward to working with her again.”
On how he came about the song, he said: “It just dropped in my mind as I was trying to create another song. So I took out my pen and wrote down the first draft of the song, as it brewed in my brain. No time.”
Mulla Rae, who is from Kogi state, started his music journey at 14 and has continued to pull the weight of fame.
The musician also revealed that he is set to release his extended play (EP).
