Lawrence Aletile, Nigerian comedian better known as Seyi Law, has narrated how his aunt died shortly after an accident at an Ondo hospital “due to lack of equipment”.
The gifted comedian broke the sad news in a video on his Instagram page on Monday where he can be seen fighting off tears intermittently.
Law bemoaned the condition of health facilities at the Igbokoda general hospital in Ilaje local government area of the state, where the deceased breathed her last.
He also pleaded with Rotimi Akeredolu, the state governor, to put in place necessary facilities to protect the lives of citizens in the area.
“Your excellency, this is not a fight with you, it’s just stating the truth. This morning, my mum’s younger sister had an accident and they didn’t have the right equipment to take care of her at Igbokoda general hospital,” he said in the video.

“And in just a few minutes she has been pronounced dead just because she fractured her leg in the hospital. Please let’s do the right thing.”
In a terse post accompanying the video, he wrote: “I woke up this morning and just some few minutes ago tragedy struck me. We call on the governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), @rotimiaketi to come to the aid of the Ilajess and take responsibility for the well being of our people.”
The 36-year-old showbiz mogul made headlines in March when he celebrated his 9th wedding anniversary with Stacey Aletile, his wife, in a beautiful way.
