Seun Oloketuyi, the founder of the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, has announced that his book ‘Making Movies The Nollywood Way’ will be officially released September 7.

In a statement released on Friday, Oloketuyi described the book as a “comprehensive guide” that explains the thought process behind Nollywood films.

He explained that it captures the successes, challenges and experiences of 21 veteran filmmakers, including Ọpa Williams and Wale Adenuga, serving as lessons for aspiring filmmakers.

The book also features “pictures and portraits to make it more engaging for both readers and industry professionals”.

“Industry Insights; the book shares the experiences and challenges faced by Nollywood filmmakers, providing valuable lessons for aspiring filmmakers,” the statement reads in part.

‘Making Movies The Nollywood Way’ will be unveiled during a book reading session at the University of Lagos on September 7.

It will also be released in e-book format on Amazon and other online platforms.

Aside from founding the BON Awards, Oloketuyi is a film producer whose passion for storytelling and commitment to promoting Nollywood have earned him recognition.

He recently produced ‘Babalaje’, a biopic on the late Oyo politician Michael Koleosho, and has also authored notable books such as ‘From Me To You’ and ‘This is Nollywood’.
