Damilola Basirat Ayinde Marshal, the daughter of Kwam 1, the fuji star, has been appointed as the senior special assistant (SSA) to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos governor, on tourism.
The legal practitioner took to her Instagram story on Friday to announce her appointment. She also shared a series of congratulatory messages received from well-wishers.
Kunle Rasheed, the spokesperson for Kwam 1, also confirmed the appointment to TheCable Lifestyle.
Also, in a now-viral video, the ace singer appreciated Sanwo-Olu for appointing his daughter as SSA.
“Help me appreciate the governor on behalf of Damilola Basirat, Damilola lawyer, on behalf of Basirat, she has been disturbing me saying ‘daddy help me appreciate Sanwo-Olu, daughter to Sanwo-Olu,” he sings in Yoruba during a performance.
Until her appointment, Damilola is the principal partner at the Damilola Ayinde Marshal & Company, the Lagos-based law firm.
The legal company provides services in the areas of property law, criminal defence, corporate law, family and estates law.
In 2023, she also bagged a Master of Law degree (LLM) from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
Damilola was called to the bar in 2015. Last December, she celebrated her 9th anniversary as a practicing lawyer.
She is also known to be a lifestyle enthusiast.
