Michael Stephens, an iconic rapper known as Ruggedman, is set to host a concert at the New Afrikan Shrine.
Holding on Wednesday, May 24, the concert will feature performances from several of his colleagues and entertainer friends.
Some of the performers include Ice Prince Zamani, Ycee, Niniola, Paul Play Dairo, CDQ, Wale Turner, Mc Shakara, Mc Smartnaija, Jaywon, Bman, and Lamborghini.
Others are Terry Apala, Dj Charlieshee, Dj Hotega, Tony Tetuila, Obesere, Twist Da Fireman, Xbusta, Henry Knight, Mc Makopolo, Flex B, Woli Alarole, African China, and OD Woods.
Fans will be charged a stipend of N1000 at the gate for the concert which will commence by 7pm.
“As we get ready to #lockdownmainland on the 24th of May 2017 with the star studded #RuggedConcert,” the rapper wrote on Instagram.
Ruggedman is regarded as the pacesetter of commercial rap music in Nigeria, owing to the success and influence of his first two albums, ‘Thy Album Come’ (2004) and Ruggedy Baba (2007).
His last known record ‘Money Making Music’ was put out in 2012.
All his albums were all released on his personal label, Rugged Records.
The hip hop artiste also owns a clothing line called ’20th Sept Wear’, which is named after his birthday.
