Gal Gadot, the star actress, had earlier said she will be collaborating with DC Studios CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran to develop the superhero franchise.

“I love portraying Wonder Woman. It is close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and Peter is that we are gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together,” she had said.

But according to Variety, a third ‘Wonder Woman’ film is not in development at DC Studios.

The news outlet quoted sources as saying that nothing was ever promised to Gadot regarding ‘Wonder Woman 3’.

“A third “Wonder Woman” film is not in development at DC Studios nor do Gunn and Safran have plans at this time for any “Wonder Woman” project in the new DC Universe other than their previously announced “Paradise Lost” prequel series for Max,” the sources were quoted to have said.

In January, Gunn and Safran announced that they are currently working on ‘Paradise Lost’.

Gadot starred as Diana Prince in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ (2016) before leading her own two standalone films: ‘Wonder Woman’ (2017) and ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ in 2020.

The Israeli actress also appeared in ‘Justice League’. She had cameos in the DC film ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods.’
