Regina Daniels, a Nollywood star, says she is not the mother of a baby whose picture is making the rounds on social media.
The gifted actress and Ned Nwoko, her politician husband, had welcomed their first child — a baby boy — together on Monday.
Nwoko had confirmed the arrival of the baby by sharing snippet of a documentary on his “family, Regina’s pregnancy, child birth, business”.
Although the lovebirds are yet to share a photo of their newborn son, picture of a little baby — said to be the movie star’s child — had surfaced online and gone viral.
But in a post on her Instagram story on Wednesday, Daniels dismissed the claims, explaining that the baby is not hers.
“I have been seeing this picture of this cute baby everywhere as my child but please, this is not my baby,” she wrote.
Since they tied the knot in 2019, the lovebirds have always been the subject of heated controversies, with many often expressing reservations with the age difference between them.
The actress, however, had on numerous occasions played down such backlash, noting she couldn’t have married within her age group because she’s very stubborn.
“I don’t think I would have married somebody of my age or a little bit older because I’m quite stubborn, very, very stubborn, my head is not down,” she had said last year.
