Anita Asuoha, the Nigerian comedienne better known as Real Warri Pikin, has confirmed she recently underwent surgery to reduce body fat.
Speaking on her YouTube page, the comedienne said the surgery was recommended due to her difficulty in sticking to a fitness diet.
Asuoha said her husband urged her to consider the surgical option due to the health risks posed by her excess weight.
Speaking in pidgin English, the actress said the surgery subsided all the health issues she was diagnosed with.
“2019, ‘Bovi Man On Fire, Warri’. After we finished red carpet, I said I should go upstairs to greet bros Bovi. Immediately naso I fall. Naso dem rush me, put water for my face, I no fit breath. As I reach back house, I go hospital, dem call one name for me ‘Atherosclerosis’. With that one dem say I still get cholesterol problem,” she said.
“My doctor talk to me that day. He said ‘Anita you know what, at this point, if you know you cannot be disciplined to eat right, work out so you will be well, then the next thing is for you to do a weight loss surgery.’
“I am happy I made that decision. I am happy my husband Victor Ikechukwu Asuoha was there for me. My doctor, my family was there to say ‘Anita do it and you will be fine’ I did it and I am fine, I feel better.
“I do not wake up dizzy, weak. I do not wake up with migraines anymore, I do not have knee pains anymore.
“Everything that I was diagnosed with, I am free from it, I feel so good right now.”
The 32-year-old tied the knot to Ikechukwu in 2013. They renewed their vows on June 10.
