Yul Edochie, the Nigerian actor, has urged unmarried women to propose marriage to their lovers if he is delaying.

In a social media post on Saturday, the film star argued that the person who initiated the proposal does not matter.

He said women initiating it will help save them time in settling down.

“Ladies, if you are waiting for your man to propose marriage to you and he is wasting time, buy a ring and propose to him,” he wrote.

“There is nothing wrong with it. It does not matter who says the words. Propose, know your stands with him. No time.”

Edochie and Judy Austin, his second wife, were recently in the news after Emmanuel Obasi, Austin’s former husband, called her out.

Obasi claimed the actress has denied him access to their children for 10 years.

He lamented that the situation has severely affected his well-being and concentration.

In July 2023, Judy said her previous marriage had been dissolved many years before she met Edochie.

Yul announced Judy as his second wife in April 2022.

The announcement sparked controversies, leading May Edochie, Yul’s first wife, to file for divorce.

She also demanded N100 million in damages.

In June, DPA Family Clinic, the legal team of May, claimed he stopped caring for his children.
