Prince Eke, the Nollywood actor, has tackled Jerry Amilo, his colleague, for posting a video of Junior Pope’s corpse online.

Pope died on Wednesday after he fell into the River Niger in Asaba, Delta state on his way to a movie location.

As controversy trailed Pope’s demise, Amilo shared a video of the late actor on his Facebook page.

The post, however, attracted a chorus of condemnation from other Nollywood stars including Prince Eke.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Eke berated the ace actor for sharing such an “insensitive” video on his page.

He argued that Amilo posted the now-deleted clip to gain traction on his social media pages.

The actor said the video would not be pleasant for the children of the late actor to see in the future.

“I want to call out Jerry Amilo. Jerry Amilo just posted the video of Junior Pope’s corpse with wools in his nose. Such a very senseless man,” he said.

“I used to respect Jerry Amilo. Jerry Amilo I am disappointed in you. Why would you post such a thing? For comments? For you to have traffic on your Facebook? You took the video of your junior colleague lying dead with cotton wool in his nose.

“You made a video, watermarked it, and posted it because your Facebook is monetised. You are using your junior colleague’s corpse to create content. No be ever elder get sense. Jerry Amilo you are a total failure. You are a stupid man.

“Like they say, the internet does not forget. Do you know how the children of this man will feel growing up seeing the corpse of their father all over the Internet? You no go understand how we don struggle. Why would it be now that the rainy days are over.”
