DJ Cuppy, one of his daughters, had broken the news on social media while also sharing photos of the three newly purchased cars — worth about N83 million each.

The development has since stirred frenzy and a plethora of mixed reactions on social media platform, particularly Twitter.

While a segment of users hailed Otedola following the gift to his daughters, others pitted him against their own parents in a denigratory comparison.

“Femi Otedola took his daughter’s out and bought brand new Ferrari for them. I remember when my dad told me to Kneel down because I asked him for a bicycle,” a user wrote.

“My People Poverty Na Bastard When Femi Otedola Said He Was Taking His Daughters For Shopping This Is What He Meant,” another user wrote.

A Twitter user, who appeared rather displeased, spoke against the timing of the spending, saying: “In a middle of a Pandemic when many people are unemployed and currently struggling to survive? Do you know how many families he can lift out of poverty or how many hospitals, schools would be well equipped with this money. Absolute waste of resources!”
