Portable, the controversial singer, has provoked criticism on social media for slapping a man who he claimed was preaching close to his bar.

On Monday, the ‘Zazoo Zeh’ hitmaker went live on Instagram while confronting the man outside his establishment in Sango Ota, Ogun state.

The apparently infuriated singer queried the middle-aged man who appeared to hold a Bible. He asked “why disturb my clients on Monday morning” before slapping him.

“This is how they spoil my business and disturb my business. Are you crazy? Early on a Monday, you’re spoiling my business. I had prayed for myself before leaving home,” he added before asking the man to leave the vicinity.

Portable’s actions did not sit well with many social media users; some of whom called him out for assault.

Born Habeeb Okikiola, Portable gained fame in December 2021 with the release of ‘Zazoo Zeh’, his hit single featuring Olamide and Poco Lee.

Since then, he has been in the public eye for controversial reasons.

In March, Portable got into a physical altercation with Kesari Okala, the content creator, at Computer Village in Lagos.

In July, he was captured in a street fight with a man over an alleged phone theft.
