Portable, the singer, says he didn’t perform at Bola Tinubu’s inauguration concert because he was “offered N5 million instead of N10 million.”
On Thursday, a concert was organised in Abuja by the youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to celebrate Tinubu’s victory in the presidential election.
Asake, Wande Coal, and Brymo were among the music stars who thrilled the audience at the event.
Portable, who appeared to be infuriated, shared a video via Instagram on Friday, wherein he tackled singers who performed at the concert.
Speaking in pidgin English, the singer claimed some of his colleagues who performed at the inauguration concert weren’t vocal about Tinubu before the election.
“Zazuu dem don rip me oh, na me sing Akoi Tinubu,” he said.
“That time no be Obi una dey vote for, now Tinubu enter those useless people una dey go dey perform there. No be me promote Tinubu ni?”
Portable claimed he was sidelined by the concert organisers over a disagreement on what he would be paid.
“No be me promote Tinubu ni? Naso dem call my manager, dey say make I come perform for Abuja, na N10m they drop o but na 5m go reach my hand,” he added.
“Naso I say I no gree, I tear the paper, I delete their number, no be me be star? Na e make me no perform in Abuja o for Tinubu.”
