The Lagos state police command has invited Kizz Daniel, the musician, for allegedly seizing a car belonging to a laundry firm.
The musician was said to have contracted the firm to do laundry for him.
The drama, however, reportedly started when the ‘Buga’ crooner accused the company of damaging his clothes said to be worth N14 million.
He was thereafter said to have impounded the firm’s bus, citing the “damaged clothes”.
Amid the ensuing drama, the owners of the bus were said to have reported the matter to the Ilasan police division.
The policemen at the division thereafter invited the singer for interrogation.
It is understood that the company has recovered the impounded bus from the musician.
When contacted, Benjamin Hundeyin, Lagos police spokesperson, confirmed that the musician was invited for questioning.
Hundeyin said the ‘Yeba’ singer has assured the police command that he would honour the invitation.
“Yes, it’s true that we invited him for questioning. He hasn’t shown up. He has been invited, we’re in touch with his lawyers and he has assured us that he would show up” he told TheCable Lifestyle.
The police spokesperson, however, said the singer was not directed to turn up at the command on Saturday as widely claimed.
“Nobody said he’s going to show up today (Saturday),” he added.
