According to a statement released by Chike Oti, police spokesman, he will appear before the Yaba Magistrate Court.

According to an initial report by the police, Alizee and her four-year-old daughter were found dead in their Banana Island residence with marks of violence on their bodies.

Oti, said Imohimi Edgar, the commissioner of police, has directed that the case be charged to court based on the findings of the crime scene detectives sent to the apartment of the Nielsens after the alleged murder was committed and the preliminary autopsy report and the result of DNA analysis carried out by forensic experts.

“Meanwhile, a duplicate copy of the murder case file has been sent to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), for legal advice.

“Further development on this matter would, as usual, be communicated to members of the public.”
