Waje, Phyno, and Asake are among the singers who performed at a free Abuja concert encouraging more youths to register for their permanent voter’s card (PVC) and vote in the 2023 elections.

The concert was organised by Yiaga Africa, a CSO, in partnership with the European Union (EU).

It took place at the Old parade ground on Saturday and witnessed the attendance of thousands of youths.

Among the musicians who performed were Falz, Omawunmi, 2Baba, M.I Abaga, Mr. Mcaroni, and Ice Prince.

Teni performed her latest single for the audience and also gifted N500,000 to a fan.

Omawumi regaled the crowd with her delivery of ‘Megbele’ and ‘If You Ask Me’ while chanting ‘Get your PVC’.

MI thrilled the audience with his hit songs.

Phyno and Ice Prince also entertained the audience with their hit songs.

The event was hosted by Real Warri Pikin, Kie-Kie, and Dotun.

Speaking at the event, Samuela Isopi, EU ambassador to Nigeria, said the youth must participate in the electoral process by voting to make impactful change in the country.

Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), said teh commission has so far registered over 15000 people at the venue.
