Burna Boy, Ice Prince, Cynthia Morgan, Wande Coal and 2face ‘2baba’ Idibia kicked off the 2016 edition of Star Music The Trek, at IBB Square, Makurdi.
Wande coal, the Black Diamond, performed some of his famous tunes, which includes Bumper to Bumper, Se na like this, Super woman, Booty call, My woman – My everything while Ice Prince followed suit with his catalogue of commercial hit songs, Oleku, Aboki, Excellency and That could be us.
Cynthia Morgan riled the crowd with ‘I’m Taken’, ‘Lead Me On’, ‘Popori’ ‘German Juice’ and also a with an intense dance routine.
Burnaboy who held his own for 40 minutes, gave a brilliant rendition of Don Gorgon, Yawa Dey, Won da mo, Oluwa Burna and other songs.
2Baba, who could be regarded as the main act was more than enthused to be playing in his home state, while he kept the crowd at fever pitch till the wee hours of Sunday – with a one-hour live performance.
The concert hosted by Gbenga Adeyinka was broadcast live on HipTV while DJ ‘BIG N’ and DJ Neptune took turns on the turntable.
Next stop for Star Music Trek is Abuja, on Saturday October 8, for the second concert of the five-city tour.
