Other performers at the concert included Blaqbonez, Bella Shmurda, Aguero Banks, and comedian Mr. Sabinus. Fast-rising singers like Lord Zeus, Ema Odia, Mr. Bady, and Hevene also entertained the audience.

The show debuted in 2022 at Okpara Square in Enugu, but this year’s edition in Onitsha aimed to expand its reach and impact.

The choice of Onitsha, JeriQ’s hometown, was to “add a layer of an emotional connection for the artiste and his fans”.

The next stop for the concert will be in Enugu on December 21, 2024.

JeriQ’s team disclosed that the rapper is eager to see how the concert will continue to evolve and grow.

Born Ani Jeremiah Chukwuebuka, JeriQ released his debut single ‘Iyoo’ in 2015. In 2020, he delivered a six-track EP titled ‘Hood Boy Dreams’.

JeriQ has also collaborated with artistes like Flavour, Dremo, Alpha P, PsychoYP, and Kofi Jama.

In a 2022 interview with TheCable Lifestyle, the rapper spoke about his childhood struggles in Onitsha.

“Growing up in Onisha exposed me to unexpected things as a kid. We washed cars; sold bottled herbs,” he said.

“If it rains, we go into the express and wait for travellers to get stuck in the mud so we can help push the vehicle for a fee. And I don’t regret these things. They made me tough and prepared for the person I was to become.

“I’d spent nights in jail as a primary school student, not due to my fault but being in the wrong places at odd times.”
