Speaking about ‘Onyegwu’, Jombo revealed that the film’s production took about two years.

“It is a football film, it is one of a kind. This is a two years journey. From production from principle photography to post-production, is two years,” she said.

“Football is the platform of the story but it is still a story deeply rooted in family values. We have two leads and we are telling two parallel stories till they meet together. We are telling the story of a rising star and a falling star till their story comes together.”
