Femi Otedola, the Nigerian billionaire businessman, has hosted Wizkid and Burna Boy at his residence.
Otedola shared photos from the visit on his Instagram page on Wednesday, describing it as a “true privilege”.
He also disclosed that the visit presented an opportunity to exchange ideas and celebrate the global rise of Afrobeats.
“A true privilege to host some of our biggest music icons,” he wrote.
“Always inspiring to share ideas and celebrate the global movement that is Afrobeats…F.Ote $.”
Wizkid and Burna Boy are considered to be among the three most influential musicians in Nigeria.
The ‘Made in Lagos’ hitmaker gained fame in 2011 when he released his debut album ‘Superstar’.
The singer has since released five studio albums and earned numerous awards, including a Grammy Award in 2021.
Burna Boy, on the other hand, rose to fame after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013).
He has since solidified his position in the music industry, winning several awards, including the Grammy Award for ‘Best World Music Album’ in 2021 for his album ‘Twice As Tall’.
Otedola is a prominent businessman with interests in various sectors, including oil and gas, shipping, real estate, and finance. He is the founder of Zenon Petroleum and Gas Ltd and has invested in power generation as part of Nigeria’s sector liberalization.
