Patrick Doyle, the ace actor, has described Yemi Alade, the singer, as “Nigeria’s most valuable cultural ambassador”.
In a series of posts on Instagram, the film star praised Alade for her outstanding opening performance at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) ceremony on Saturday.
In one of the posts, Doyle referred to Alade as “Nigeria’s most significant cultural ambassador,” adding that her performance at the continental football tournament “proves it emphatically”.

In a follow-up Instagram post, Doyle described Alade as a “national treasure” who deserves a “national honour”.
“Behold, Nigeria’s most valuable cultural ambassador. Yemi Alade is nothing short of a national treasure, she deserves a national honour,” he wrote.

Before Alade’s opening performance, the singer revealed that she had always had the desire to grace football ceremonies since 2016.
She expressed gratitude for the opportunity and described it as “a dream come true”.
Doyle began his acting career in the 1990s.
He has been featured in several Nollywood movies including ‘Man of God’, ‘Isoken’, and ‘Flower Girl’.
Doyle has also received several recognitions for his contributions to the film industry.
