Pasuma, the Fuji singer, and Woli Arole, the comedian, performed at the south-west youth rally for Bola Tinubu, presidential hopeful of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

At the event, Tinubu formally declared his intention to run for president in 2023 to the south-west youth.

The declaration event was held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Stadium in Lagos on Saturday.

In a video that surfaced online, Pasuma could be seen greeting Tinubu as he treated the audience to Fuji music.

The declaration was also attended by public figures such as Akin Alabi and Kwam 1.

Also in attendance was Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos governor, who took to Twitter to share photos from the event.

“I joined young people from the SW states at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan in their support for the presidential aspiration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu,” the governor wrote.

“In the company of deputy governor and other leaders of our great party in Lagos and other SW states.

“We saw the determination and energy of our young people to work for the success of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s aspiration that is only motivated by a higher purpose of service to the people of this great country.”

Tinubu, a former Lagos governor, had announced his intention to contest for the 2023 presidency on January 10.

“I’ve informed the president of my intention but I have not informed Nigerians yet,” he had said.

“I’m still consulting. And I have no problem consulting. I’ve not set a parameter of limitation to the extent of how many people I will consult.”
