Femi Otedola, the Nigerian billionaire businessman, has gifted DJ Cuppy, her daughter, a £5 million country home as a birthday present.
Cuppy, whose real name is Florence Otedola, marked her 30th birthday on Friday.
The entertainer took to her Instagram page to share screenshots of her chat with her father.
In the now-deleted posts, Cuppy had joked that Otedola forgot to celebrate her birthday.
In his response, the billionaire showered praises on the singer for continuously making him proud, adding that he did not forget her birthday.
“Ifemiii of course not! I could never forget #CuppyDay! Happy Birthday to my Angel Ifemi. I’ve instructed Andy at Barclays Bank to buy you a £5,000,000. (Five million pounds) country home as your 30th birthday present,” he wrote.
“Can’t think of any other befitting present you deserve for this special birthday. You have continuously made Papa proud year by year and have been a blessing in my life.”
Reacting, Cuppy expressed surprise at her father’s gesture with the caption “speechless @femiotedola”.
The entertainer has established herself as a popular figure across the globe.
In September, she bagged a master’s degree in African Studies from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.
Cuppy recently said she is happy with her achievements in life so far.
“For once, I’m going to clap for myself and say- I am so proud of all I’ve accomplished and so excited for the joy my 30’s will bring. Happy birthday, incredible Cuppy, me,” she wrote.
