Portable, the fast-rising Nigerian singer, has aimed a dig at Davido for unfollowing him on Instagram.
The pair appeared to be at loggerheads over their varied interests ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Osun state.
While Portable is backing Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the ‘OBO’ crooner is supporting Ademola Adeleke, his uncle who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
On Thursday, the pair mobilised supporters for their respective candidates in Osogbo, the state capital.
A few hours later, reports emerged that Davido unfollowed Portable after his performance at Oyetola’s campaign.
Checks by TheCable Lifestyle showed the ‘Assurance’ singer isn’t following Portable — although the ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner is still following him.
Reacting in a cryptic video on his Instagram page, Portable taunted Davido for unfollowing him.
“Open your ears and listen. My father isn’t a rich man, I am not a son of a rich man, I am from the trenches,” he said.
“I am the one that brought riches to my family. Open your ears so my words can enter. I am running and hustling in this manner and it is simply because of money. And also to avert the suffering my family had to endure, which doesn’t become my portion.
“Once again, my father is not a rich man. I come from the trenches but managed to bring my family into wealth. So support who support you. They wasted no time in unfollowing us.”
