Chris Brown, the award-winning US singer, has celebrated Ademola Adeleke for winning the Osun governorship election.
In the early hours of Sunday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke the winner of the election held on Saturday.
The ex-lawmaker secured 403, 371 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 375,027 votes.
His victory at the polls has continued to attract commendations in several quarters, with many people congratulating him.
Joining the fray, Brown shared a photo of Adeleke, who is Davido’s uncle, via his Instagram story.
Brown is friends with a plethora of Nigerian singers including Davido and Wizkid.
The US singer and the ‘OBO’ crooner have also worked on numerous songs together including ‘Blow My Mind’ and ‘Shopping Spree’.
In August last year, Davido had recounted how Brown and Young Thug supported the production of ‘Shopping Spree’, a track of ‘A Better Time’ album.
“We worked countless times, these are some of the first people who acknowledged the movement with me even before I started popping. It’s amazing to do music with people that believe in you and are part of the culture. We made the music on a Tuesday and we shot the video like two days after,” he had said.
