‘Moonlight’ was named winner of the best picture category at the 89th Oscar awards after musical ‘La La Land’ had been mistakenly announced.

Damien Chazelle directed La La Land while Barry Jenkins created Moonlight.
La La Land came into the Oscars with a record-tying 14 nominations.
Other nominees for best picture were:
“Arrival”
“Fences”
