Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, and Folashade Ashley Adegoke, one of his wives, have welcomed a baby boy.
The monarch announced the arrival of the child via his social media pages on Tuesday.
Ogunwusi also revealed that the mother and the child are “doing well”.
“Hearty congratulations to the entire house of Oduduwa and Olori Folashade, who today birthed a prince from the mother side of Ooni Adagba royal compound of Lafogido ruling house and father side of Ooni Agbedegbede royal compound of Giesi ruling house combined to the royal throne of Oduduwa,” he wrote.
“Mother and child are doing well to the glory of God Almighty and in line with the spirits of our ancestors. #Otisese.”

The childbirth comes six months after the Ooni welcomed a set of twins with Tobi Philips, his third wife.
Folashade tied the knot with Ooni on October 15, 2022.
She is said to be number four among the wives of the monarch. The other wives include Mariam Anako, Elizabeth Akinmuda, Temitope Adesegun, and Ronke Ademiluyi.
The Ooni was previously in three failed marriages. He married Adebukola Bombata in 2008 but the marriage crashed.
The monarch’s marriage to Zaynab Wuraola Otiti in 2016 also failed due to irreconcilable differences.
The traditional ruler went on to marry Silekunola Naomi in October 2018.
Three years later, Naomi announced their separation.
Their union produced a son named Tadenikawo.
