After the recent edition in London, UK, One Africa Music Fest is set to hold in at least two more venues in 2017.
The organisers have announced that the music fiesta will hold in New York, for the second time, in August while there’s also a November date for Dubai.
According to Paul Okoye of Upfront & Personal, the New York leg will be held at the Ford Amphitheater, Coney Island, Brooklyn.
A venue is yet to be announced for the music fest in Dubai.
The upcoming concerts will be the fourth and fifth in the series, having held in Houston, Barclays Center in New York and London.
The last edition of One Africa Music Fest was marred by time management issues, which led to the likes of Jidenna being unable to perform.
Fans also lamented the drab delivery of some artistes at the concert.
In the aftermath of the incident, a displeased Jidenna had said, “People make jokes about African Time but the truth is that everyone is laughing at us. We are out here joking about it but every other continent is laughing at us.”
The London edition was streamed live via Tidal.
Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, D’banj, Seyi Shay, Skales, Olamide, Banky W, Flavour, Awilo Logomba, Sarkodie and Timaya are some of the artistes who have performed on the One Africa Music Fest stage.
Others are Stonebwoy, Psquare, Swizz Beatz, Sisqo, Phyno, Seun Kuti, 9ice, Tekno, Davido, Diamond Platnumz, and Jidenna.
