‘The Glory’, sixth album by Olamide Adedeji, indigenous rapper, is on the Billboard music charts.
The sixth album of the rapper was released December 26, 2016.
It debuted at the sixth position on the World Albums chart in its first week and is presently number 14.
The World Albums chart is a compilation of each week’s top-selling world music albums, ranked by sales data as compiled by Nielsen Music.
The Glory — Olamide’s sixth studio album in six years — has now spent two weeks on the chart.
“I’ve been so busy… almost miss[ed] The Glory on the billboard top 10 world album chart @billboard thank you for the recognition,” the rapper said on Instagram.
Olamide is not the only Nigerian presently on the Billboard music charts.
Do Like That, a new single by Mavin Records singer, Korede Bello, has debuted at number 14 on Spotify Velocity chart.
The Spotify Velocity chart is a ranking of songs based on a combination of total Spotify streams in the U.S. and each track’s relative rate of growth over one week.
Korede Bello, who is famous for the monster hit Godwin, is yet to release an album despite a string of singles.
Olamide’s debut album, Rapsodi, was released in 2011 followed by YBNL (2012), Baddest Guy Ever Liveth (2013), Street OT (2014), and Eyan Mayweather (2015).
