Leading Nigerian rappers, Olamide and MI, are expected to headline the maiden edition of Lagos Street Party.
The party, which is expected to hold on December 3 and 4, on the Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, was put together by the Lagos state government.
Anofiu Elegushi, the acting commissioner of transportation, has announced that traffic would be diverted to accommodate the street party.
“Traffic would be diverted at the Bishop Oluwole end of Ahmadu Bello Way and at Kuramo Fall end and participating individuals can park their vehicles at the Eko Atlantic City while all other motorists will use alternative routes.
“Tiamiyu Savage, Akin Adesola and Bishop Oluwole will be closed from emptying traffic into Ahmadu Bello Way.”
Adebimpe Akinsola, the acting commissioner for culture and tourism, told journalists that the street party is different from the One Lagos Fiesta.
“The Lagos Street Party is different from One Lagos Fiesta, Lagos Street Party is to usher in December.
“Plans for One Lagos Fiesta will be unveiled very soon.”
