Oluwaseun Olorunfemi, a 400 level medical student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, has died after being in coma for six days.

Olorunfemi, who was hit by a vehicle on Tuesday, while going for “medical posting”, was rushed to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (OAUTHC).

At the hospital, Olurunfemi laid in coma until he gave up the ghost on Sunday, December 25.

A senior colleague of the late student who spoke to TheCable Lifestyle said the driver who hit Olorunfemi didn’t wait to acknowledge his act but fled the scene after hitting the victim.

Deeper Life Christian Fellowship (DLCF), where he was the choir coordinator, and colleagues of Olorunfemi have been thrown into mourning since the incident occurred.

The deceased was reportedly a distinction student in the college of health sciences.
