The organisers of the Trendupp Awards have officially announced that public nominations are now open for the 2025 edition of the prestigious event.

The annual event, which is in its fifth edition, honours influencers, content creators, and brands excelling in the use of social media across diverse fields and platforms.

In a statement shared with TheCable Lifestyle on Monday, the organisers described the upcoming edition as a milestone, reinforcing its reputation as the “standard for excellence in digital creativity”.

“This year’s milestone edition celebrates five years of setting the standard for excellence in digital creativity, storytelling, and cultural impact,” the statement reads.

“Since 2021, Trendupp Awards has grown from a bold idea into a Pan-African movement, spotlighting the extraordinary talents who use social media as a force for influence, innovation, and change.”

Reflecting on the awards’ growth, Tiwalola Olanubi, the founder of Trendupp Africa, said the event has expanded to become “the benchmark for digital influence across Africa”.

“When we launched Trendupp Awards, our mission was simple: to give content creators and influencers their well-deserved recognition,” Olanubi said.

“Today, we’ve grown from celebrating talent in Nigeria to fast becoming the benchmark for digital influence across Africa. That’s something we’re deeply proud of. The fifth edition is a true milestone.

On his part, Ayo Ishola, Trendupp Africa’s creative director, said: “From planning to production, we’re raising the bar to deliver an experience that reflects the creative excellence of the creator community. We are an award platform known for Audacious ones only, and this fifth edition we are #5tillExplosive”.

The public is invited to nominate their favourite content creators, influencers, and digital changemakers across multiple categories.

The categories includes ‘Force of TikTok’, ‘Force of Lifestyle Content’, ‘Force of Creative Arts’, ‘Force of Instagram’, ‘Force of X (Formerly Twitter)’, ‘Force of Virality’, ‘Force of  Online Sensation’, ‘Force of Food Content’, ‘Force of Comedy Skits’, and ‘Force of YouTube’.

Others are the ‘Force of Tech Content’, ‘Force of The Pod’, ‘Force of Social Good’, ‘Force of Collaboration’, ‘Emerging Force’, ‘Force of Influence (Nigeria)’, and ‘Force of Influence (International)’.
