Nigerian Student Fashion & Design Week (NSFDW), a BlackNBold initiative, recently celebrated its fifth anniversary in Lagos.
The event which held at Federal Palace Hotel Victoria Island, between August 19-20, saw two nights of creativity and exquisite designs.
The 2017 edition of the fashion week kicked off with ten designers who took the runway to showcase their collections, with models bringing the pieces to life.
The designers that showcased on day one are Apparels by Pearl, Marie Suave, Thread by Nessa, Nelson Couture, Pinkies Stitches, Adara Atelier, Carl Andrews, Needle Thread Stitches, Styleshe Couture and Mega House of fashion.
The second day of the fashion week featured over thirteen designers on the runway.
The designers are YRC Nigeria (creative designer NSFDW maiden edition), Over (most creative designer NSFDW 2014), Ashillarozae (most creative designer NSFDW 2016), Tinyfitting, Valisimo Fashion School, Hym Signage, M’Briel Fashion, Aumoh, Nanaclassique, Kolzy Couture, Makaris Wear, Idiol Nupo, Stephanie Daniels for StyleSquad, Daltimore, 9ja Urban Clothing and Happily Fab Clothing.
The judges for the event were Ono Bello, Ayo Van Elmar, Blessing Ebere (360 creative hub), Kola Kuddus and Tosin Ogundadegbe (Style Infidel).
At the end of the night, prizes were given to the best male designer (Hym Signage), best female designer (Adara Atelier) and most promising designer (Apparels by Pearl).
There were also musical performances from Mz Kiss, YBNL’s Viktoh, Mo Eazy amongst others.
