The sixth edition of Nigerian Idol, the local version of the Idol series franchise, which started on March 14, is gradually coming to an end with nine contestants left.
Faith Mac and Dotun Deloye were the latest contestants to be eliminated after scoring the least votes in the first round of public voting.
Within the battle for who becomes the next Nigerian Idol entering its closing and toughest stages, the only way to keep your favourite contestant in the race is through voting.
But how do you vote? TheCable Lifestyle examines some of the ways you can vote to keep your favourite contestant in the battle for the show’s grand prize.
SMS option
One of the ways to vote is through SMS. Here, you’re simply required to send your favourite contestant’s number to 32053. Each SMS costs N30 and is currently available to Airtel and 9mobile networks.
Voting via the Nigerian Idol website
You can also vote directly for your favourite contestant by visiting the Nigerian Idol website. To do this, you’re required to click on ‘vote’ and register thereafter by entering the needed details. With that, you can cast your vote for your favourite contestant.
DStv and GOtv
The third option to vote for your favourite contestant is through the use of MyDStv and MyGOtv apps.
However, you must be a subscriber to be able to do this and your voting power depends on the package you have.
If you are subscribed to a higher package, for instance, you will have more voting power.
