Nengi stars as Annie Idibia’s ‘Nkoyo the Series’ premieres July 21

Nengi, Ini Edo, and Ik Ogbona are among the top movie stars that featured in ‘Nkoyo the Series’, a comedy series by Annie Idibia.

The series, which is exclusive to Nevada Bridge TV, is billed to premiere on July 21.

It follows Idibia’s comic character Nkoyo, renowned for first appearing in the 2019 romantic drama ‘Open Scar’.

Directed by Seyi Babatope, the project features several other movie stars like Kate Henshaw, Bimbo Akintola and Nikky Ufondu.

It also features top Nigerian artistes and comedians including Larry Gaaga, Eso Dike, Nascobi, Acapella, and Omini Aho.

Annie came into the limelight in the film industry for her role in ‘Pleasure’ and ‘Crime and Blackberry Babes’. She has continued to pull the strings since then.

The 36-year-old model is married to Innocent Idibia, the award-winning Nigerian singer better known as 2Baba.

The union has been blessed with two children: Isabella Idibia and Olivia Idibia.

The spotlight had beamed on the movie star last year after reports swirled in some quarters that she had cancer — a claim she denied.

“Why would anyone do this just to get traffic to their blog! This was a campaign I did with a very creative makeup artist against cancer 3 or 4 years ago I think!,” she had said.

“It’s really unfair to post such a lie just for traffic! Whoever did this, I pray that you or your loved one don’t encounter this! This isn’t a joke! Take it down now!”
