The National Examinations Council (NECO) has rescheduled the 2023 entrance exam into Federal Government Academy Suleja.
The exam has now been moved from May 13 to June 10, 2023.
NECO, in a statement signed by Azeez Sani, the council’s head of PR, on Tuesday, said the exam was rescheduled to enable more candidates to register.
The council said the development follows requests by some stakeholders for an extension of the registration period.
The Federal Government Academy (FGA) Suleja prides itself as a training ground for “the gifted and talented children of Nigeria.”
The academy gives opportunity to outstanding students to develop their potential in the interest of nation-building and technological development.
The students benefit from federal government scholarships covering tuition fees, external exam fees, boarding costs, feeding expenses, uniforms, and the purchase of basic textbooks.
NECO said all candidates, parents, guardians, and other relevant stakeholders should note the new date for the examination.
“The registration of candidates will continue till the new date of the examination,” the council said.
FGA Suleja, also known as Suleja Academy, was founded in 1986 by the federal government.
It was established under former President Ibrahim Babangida’s regime.
Last month, NECO also rescheduled the 2023 National Common Entrance Examinations (NCEE).
This year’s NCEE was initially scheduled to begin on April 29.
The council, however, said the exam — conducted for admission into federal unity colleges — was rescheduled to June 3 over low registration.
