The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) is set to honour veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) at its upcoming breakfast meeting.
The event, scheduled to take place on February 6 at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Lagos, will be led by Sheriff Balogun, the NACC national president.
RMD will be recognized with the ‘Creative Industry Legend Award’ for his contributions to Nollywood.
The event will also feature discussions on Nigeria’s economic outlook for 2025.
The breakfast meeting is themed ‘2025 Economic Outlook for Nigeria’ and aims to provide Nigerian and American businesses with insights into GDP growth, inflation, interest rates, employment, and consumer spending.
Tola Adeyemi will deliver the keynote address, while Muda Yusuf, Dele K. Oye, and Adelana Olamilekan will participate in a panel discussion. Nneka Okekearu will moderate the session.
The NACC has been facilitating trade relations between Nigeria and the United States since its establishment in 1960, through networking, advocacy, trade services, and investment promotion.
It serves as a catalyst in bringing together people and ideals to bolster bilateral commercial relations between Nigeria and the United States.
The breakfast meeting is a key platform for fostering economic cooperation and recognizing industry leaders like RMD.
The 63-year-old film star is considered one of the frontrunners in the Nigerian movie industry with a career spanning over three decades.
RMD has also earned a plethora of nominations and awards for his craft.
