The activists shared a flier containing the schedule of the walk via their individual Twitter pages.

According to the flier, the walk is dedicated to “those who were killed on October 20, 2020, and those we have lost to police brutality”.

The walk will also start by 8 am and end by 11 am at the Lekki toll gate.

In another post, Mr Macaroni warned that the walk is for “victims of police brutality and not a political rally.”

Participants are also implored not to display anything in relation to politics.

“My people. The #EndSARSMemorial is to honor all victims of #EndSARS and Police Brutality. It is not a political rally. Banners of political parties or candidates should not be displayed. Please let us show respect. Thank you,” the comedian wrote.

He added: “Different rallies have been happening across the country this month. Nobody or group hijacked it. Abeg we no wan hear say anybody wan hijack this one.

“We didn’t hear that the Police arrested or brutalized anyone during the rally. Let’s maintain the same energy pls.”

Nigerian youths had, in October 2020, protested against the now-disbanded special anti-robbery squad (SARS), a unit of the Nigeria Police Force.
