Mr Eazi is the fourth ‘Up Next’ artiste of the month on streaming platform Apple Music.
The ‘Banku’ music progenitor was announced as the ‘Up Next’ artiste on Wednesday alongside a simultaneous release of several special projects.
Over the next one month, the streaming service will promote Mr Eazi’s songs on its playlists and on the iTunes store to a global audience.
His mixtape Life is Eazi, Vol. 1 – Accra to Lagos, released in February 2017, appears destined to benefit from more sales as it will be more visible to visitors of the iTunes store.
Also part of the month-long spotlight on the singer is a documentary about his rapid rise and unique sound, entitled ‘Up Next: Catch a Vibe’, as well as an interview with Beats 1’s Julie Adenuga.
Another ‘Up Next’ special is a live performance session entitled ‘Up Next Session: Mr Eazi’. The session was filmed in London, UK.
The Nigerian singer will also appear on the Late Late Show with James Corden later this evening — a ritual of Apple Music’s ‘Up Next’ artistes.
Playlists of Mr Eazi’s collaborations and musical influences will also be available for fans of the ‘Skin Tight’ singer on Apple Music for the next thirty days.
Apple Music’s ‘Up Next’ special was launched in April 2017.
US rapper Ricardo ‘6lack’ Valdez was the first artiste to be featured. He was succeeded by Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid in May and R&B star Khalid in June.
