Moët & Chandon plans to host over one million people from around the world for a 24-hour celebration.
The celebration, formerly known as Moët Party Day, debuted in 2016. It is now known as Moët & Chandon Grand Day.
Guests from around the globe, for 24 hours, will come together to raise their champagne glasses in a worldwide toast to the memorable moments that bring joy to their lives.
According to the organisers, Moët & Chandon Grand Day promises “a glittering lineup of extraordinary events” in over 80 countries; from Hong Kong to Lagos to Geneva and Montreal.
“The translation of the French word ‘fête’ literally means ‘party’,” says Elizabeth Oputa, manager of champagne brands at Moët Hennessy in Nigeria.
“And this year, Moët & Chandon is bringing the art of the fête to Nigeria. Moët & Chandon Grand Day will be a unique event in which we share the magic of champagne and celebrate a day dedicated to the joys of life.”
Set to hold June 9 in Lagos, guests will be treated to a gourmet brunch served at a rooftop lounge and day-time celebrations at decorated rooftop bars with beach front views.
