Mercy Eke, the 2019 Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) winner, has insisted that she will be turning 30 this year.
Mercy has been in the public eye in the past few days with some fans accusing her of falsifying her age.
On Sunday, the reality star had taken to her Twitter page to share a photo of her permanent voter’s card (PVC) while urging her followers to get theirs ahead of next month’s elections.
“Collect your PVC. Nigeria will be great again #CollectYourPVC,” she wrote.
It’s a new day to pick up your PVC, don’t miss out on exercising your right. Love you! 😘 https://t.co/TS1m39NuxO

Although she covered some sensitive details on the card like her date of birth and address, a Twitter user accused her of falsifying her age.
“You covered your date of birth and left VIN that shows everything about you. Does this make sense to you?,” The user wrote.
“Anyway, I’m here to inform your that I just found out that you are 32 years of age. Don’t come here 29th Sept and claim 25 years o. Have a nice day.”
The tweet stirred a wave of mixed reactions with a lot of users, including some celebrities, taking a swipe at Mercy.
Unperturbed by the backlash, the reality star took to Snapchat on Tuesday to taunt her critics while describing herself as a “1993 baby”.
The BBNaija star said she can’t wait to be 30 while also sharing plans to have a baby.
“1993 babies, we are turning 30 this year.😂 3rd level about to bang🙏 I can’t wait. What to do? I’m definitely having a baby🥰,” she wrote.
