During an interview with Ebuka Uchendu, BBNaija host, Mercy had disclosed how she had auditioned four times in a row to become a housemate and the preparatory measures she had taken despite not being sure she would make it to the house.

“I auditioned four times in a row. And, from that moment, I had already started getting myself ready without being paid or knowing id I’ll get in because I wouldn’t wanna be caught unawares. I was getting closed on, counting Sundays if I make it,” she had said.

“I just wanted to give them back to back. I wanted to be me. I didn’t come to Big Brother because everyone else was coming. I came to make a statement and leave a mark.”
