Megan Thee Stallion, the US rapper, says she will be going on a music break to focus on “healing”.

In an interview with InStyle, the American fashion magazine, Stallion said she is taking the break to pay attention to her well-being.

The 28-year-old rapper added that fans can expect new music from her when “I’m in a better place”.

“Fans can expect new music when I’m in a better place. Right now, I’m focused on healing,” she said.

“The music and entertainment industry can be a grind, so it’s important to take time off and avoid burning out.

“Miami has a little bit of everything for everyone. If you want to turn up, the city has incredible spots for people to have a good time.

“If you want to just chill and enjoy the tropical weather, then you can either lay by the pool, relax on the beach, or vibe out on a boat with some friends.”

Megan Thee Stallion rose to fame in 2019 with her hit single ‘Big Ole Freak’.

In 2020, she collaborated with Beyoncé on the remix of ‘Savage’, which became a major chart success, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

The music star has released other singles including ‘WAP’, ‘Body’, and ‘Hot Girl Summer’, among others.

She has also received several awards and recognition for her craft.

The rapper recently sparked dating rumours after she was seen with Romelu Lukaku, the Belgian striker, at a wedding ceremony in Italy.
