Di’Ja is set to release her debut EP nearly four years after she was signed by Mavin Records.
The singer and mother of one joined the Don Jazzy-led Mavin Records in February 2014.
In two months, she would have spent four years at the record label which uses ‘Mavin Activated’ to announce the addition of new artistes to its roster.
Di’Ja says her seven-track EP, named after her moniker ‘Aphrodija’, features label mates, Reekado Banks and Tiwa Savage.
In an Instagram post, she said: “I can’t stop thanking everyone that has been patient with me, given me moral support during this time, helped me get through and making sure my head is on straight while magic was being created all the way to creating a cover art inclusive of my drawings.
“We all go through many creative processes and I thank my Mavin family, my manager for allowing me to be myself!! Quirky, emotional, weird and most of all creative regardless of what is out there.”
Born Hadiza Blell, Di’Ja is a singer, visual artist and songwriter.
