‘She Was Not Dreaming’ — artist Akpojotor to host first solo exhibition

Budding artist Marcellina Akpojoto is set to host her first solo exhibition at Rele Gallery.

Tagged ‘She Was Not Dreaming’, the exhibition is a generational story of timeless ambition and the living legacies of one woman who saw into the future.

The body of work in the exhibition is made up of two parts. First, a chronological account of a family’s journey to the fulfilment of the woman’s radical vision.

The second part is an ode to the countless number of women who are being empowered all around the world, just as the subject sought to do with her family.

‘She Was Not Dreaming’ is expected to open on Sunday from 3pm at Rele Gallery, 5 Military street, Onikan, Lagos Island.
