On Saturday, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel were confirmed to have been abducted after being reported missing on Friday.

Emeka Rollas, president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), also revealed that the abductors demanded a ransom of $100,000.

Reacting to the development via her Instagram page, Gold called out blogs and publications sharing false information about celebrities.

According to her, the purported net worths of some Nollywood stars shared on the internet are “exorbitant and false.”

She said this makes them the target of kidnappers because they believe actors are rich.

In the post accompanied by a report claiming she is worth up to $400,000, she denied having such money.

“This is one of the reasons actors are been kidnapped. They think we are so rich. I need to arrest the person behind this lies,” she wrote.

“I’m working hard to be wealthy but currently I’m not close to any amount mentioned there. I don’t have money, I’m an hustler. Pls do not believe any you read on the internet.”
