Lizzy Anjorin has responded after Iyabo Ojo threatened to sue her for purported defamatory statements and death threats directed at her family.
The conflict between the two Nollywood actresses, which originated in 2023 and seemed resolved in June 2024, has resurfaced with heightened intensity.
The latest chapter began when Ojo broke her silence via Instagram, addressing the weeks of “defamatory statements, insults, death wishes, and curses” she claimed Anjorin has been directing at her family, particularly her grandson.
Ojo explained that her silence was a conscious choice to protect her peace and focus on family, specifically on welcoming her grandson and supporting her daughter.
She, however, assured her followers that her legal team was “not sleeping” and was “taking notes of everything”.
“Honestly, I haven’t laughed this hard in a while. These videos cracked me up real good. On a more serious note, I’ve seen all your messages, DMs, voice notes, and questions about my silent approach to the defamatory statements, insults, death wishes and curses Liz Anjorin has been directing at my family, especially those targeting my grandson,” she wrote.
“Honestly, most times, I struggle to hold my peace but I have to ignore the distractions. Who God has blessed, no one can curse. For clarity, I want to assure you all that my legal team isn’t sleeping. They’re taking notes of everything. A wise one must always listen to the counsel of the learned team. Everything has its timing.
“My people, over the past few months, it was strictly about focusing on family while my legal team takes note and prepares me for the battles ahead – welcoming my grandson, supporting my daughter through her motherhood journey, and standing in the gap, both physically and spiritually, required my undivided attention.
“Note that once I land in Lagos, God willing, yes, it will be time to tackle challenges. Silence can be powerful, and while it’s not always easy for me, I know it’s sometimes necessary. I love you all and appreciate your genuine concerns. Keep being your wonderful selves, and I’ll keep you all updated when the time is right. God bless.”

In her response, Anjorin dismissed Ojo’s statement as “fake tears and Nollywood nonsense” in her own Instagram post.
She also launched a series of severe counter-accusations, alleging that Ojo has a long history of using gossip blogs to target her.
“Dear cry cry admin ikudonation Iyabo Ojo, you evil b*sta*d daughter of Olubumi Fetuga who was m*d for 30 years, you think you can gaslight Nigeria with your fake tears and Nollywood nonsense? Your post is a bigger joke than your tired acting career! You’re a manipulative, donation-chasing destroyer who’ll burn down families just for clout and cash,” she wrote.
“I’m Lizzy Anjorin, the Yeyemesho, and I’m here to dr*g your wicked soul through the streets of Lagos. Buckle up, because this mother’s fire is about to roast you! You’re the asiniwaye of gaslighting, Iyabo, twisting stories to play innocent while you stab me and my family in the back.
“Just 24 hours after Gistlover posted those Florida pictures with Alaafin, you were shouting them out, hyping platforms that curse my children, calling them “Ikufestus” and “IKU Priscilla” like they’re living corpses. You slapped for Esabod when she slapped my toddler’s face on an animal’s head-my *toddler*!-and laughed on her filthy show of shame. You, a mother?
“Your madness runs deeper than your mother’s 30-year curse! My heart is shattered, Iyabo, holding my baby girl tight, praying she’s safe from your evil. Every true mothers and abiyamo in Nigeria feels my pain, and I’m ready to fight to finish. Admin awon Apayan that court letter you bragged about pasting on my wall?
“You dirty manipulator, you waited till my daughter came back from school, snapped her innocent face, and fed it to your bullying blogs before I even saw it. That letter hit Gistlover’s page-cursing my family, threatening us-before it reached my hands. You exposed my toddler to the world, Iyabo, you evil bastard! My daughter’s face in your wicked hands keeps me up at night, crying and praying.
“You’re not just evil; you’re a monster who targets children for your dirty donation scams. You’re even using your living corpse grandchild, Ikurakeem, to milk sympathy cash. Orun akun mi lowo-you’ll pay for every drop of my family’s tears! You and your evil cohort-Gistlover, Esabod, and those WhatsApp groups you run like a witch’s coven-have been have been after my life for years.
“You tried to set me up in Idumota, dragged me to Ilorin, threw Oke Kura prison treats at me all because I’m building an empire while you beg for coins. You called me local while posing posh but your posh is just polished lies.”
